ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Context

Work within Sanofi's GTMC Insights & Analytics Capabilities organization, which delivers insights, analytics, innovative tools, and methods supporting strategic business decisions across the organization.
Support analytics- and technology-enabled decision-making across the end-to-end commercialization lifecycle, from business development through late lifecycle management.
Deliver medical insights supporting medical affairs, medical communications, research and development, commercial, market research, competitive intelligence, and brand teams.
Help create high-quality, scalable, shareable solutions and drive synergies across franchises.

Core Responsibilities – People

Maintain effective relationships with end stakeholders within the allocated Global Business Unit (GBU) to meet business needs across the product lifecycle.
Deliver projects within defined timelines and collaborate with global stakeholders on project planning and initiatives.
Actively lead and develop SBO operations associates and ensure new technologies are leveraged effectively.
Collaborate with global stakeholders to establish project timelines and maintain budgets.
Performance is assessed through end-stakeholder satisfaction, with People responsibilities carrying 20% weightage.

Medical Insights & Analytics – Performance

Translate real-world data understanding into actionable medical insights supporting medical strategy, tactics, and brand objectives.
Develop hypotheses and analytical approaches for medical intelligence projects spanning medical affairs, commercial, market research, and competitive intelligence.
Partner with global therapy-area, brand, and medical teams to deliver high-quality projects and initiatives on time.
Analyze and identify medical data from multiple sources and develop, refine, and quality-control standard deliverables.
Produce and support real-time alerts, competitor benchmarking, Insights & SML Reports, conference activities, listening priorities, pharmacovigilance reporting, expert encounters, and other medical-insights deliverables.
Generate directional cues that support decision-making while maintaining alignment with medical and brand strategy and communication requirements.
Prepare slides for internal meetings and provide strategic and tactical ad hoc support.
Support planning for key conferences and cross-functional team preparedness.
Support KOL and DOL mapping, identify key signals, and develop strategies for stronger KOL engagement.
Support competitive simulation workshops through briefing books, gap analysis, SWOT analysis, and scenario planning.
Leverage in-house secondary resources to develop comprehensive, synthesized narratives addressing competitive topics and business questions.
Develop and refine internal resources such as clinical data comparisons, internal portals, and launch-timing resources.
Participate in global, regional, and local meetings to understand business context and translate discussions into appropriate deliverables.
Analyze primary market research and survey data against business objectives and create presentations containing insights and recommendations.
Synthesize insights from multiple reports to support business decisions and evidence-based recommendations.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal stakeholders.
Proactively troubleshoot issues and propose solutions or options before escalation.
Support meeting logistics involving large numbers of participants and purchase-order processing when required.
Performance is assessed through timeline adherence and quality targets, with Performance responsibilities carrying 50% weightage.

Process, Scientific Standards & Compliance

Ensure high scientific standards for all outputs.
Follow compliance procedures and internal operational risk controls.
Regularly refresh reports and perform quality checks using current tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, analyze data, and generate actionable insights and reports.
Maintain delivery plans/calendars and meet quality expectations.
Process responsibilities carry 20% weightage.

Stakeholder & Global Collaboration

Collaborate with global teams and external vendors to deliver medical insights and intelligence initiatives effectively.
Clearly and concisely defend gathered intelligence, methodology, content, and conclusions to global leadership.
Maintain timeline and quality targets for stakeholder-facing deliverables.
Stakeholder responsibilities carry 10% weightage.

Technical & Domain Expertise

Interpret scientific data, medical affairs strategy, pharmaceutical landscapes, product launches, real-world evidence, and medical evidence generation.
Apply qualitative and quantitative analysis to medical or commercial insights and data analytics.
Generate insights from real-world data and evidence relating to pharmaceutical products.
Apply Social Media Listening methodologies and extract insights from multiple social platforms and tools.
Work with or understand common databases such as OneCRM and Veeva Link.
Use advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Create effective and impactful presentation slides.
Apply advanced Excel and analytical tools; Power BI, Python, and SQL knowledge is an advantage.
Experience developing and managing dashboards is advantageous.
AI-driven platforms for structuring and interpreting qualitative medical insights are highly desirable.
Understand pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing functions.

Social Media Listening & Competitive Intelligence

Apply current Medical Insights methodologies and Social Media Listening approaches.
Experience with platforms such as Brandwatch, Kwello, Sprinklr, NetBase, and similar tools is expected.
Analyze LinkedIn and other social-media signals to identify brand-related trends and inform KOL engagement strategies.
Support competitive intelligence through benchmarking, gap analysis, SWOT, scenario planning, and synthesized competitive narratives.

Preferred Therapy-Area Experience

Pharmaceutical-industry experience is preferred.
Experience in Diabetes, Cardiometabolic disorders, Immunology, Oncology, or Vaccines is preferred.

Leadership & Business Impact

Lead and develop SBO operations associates.
Coordinate multiple projects and global initiatives while maintaining timelines and budgets.
Influence medical and commercial decision-making through evidence-based insights.
Translate complex medical, market, competitive, and real-world data into actionable recommendations for global leadership and functional stakeholders.

Education & Experience

5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical products, Medical Insights and Analytics, Medical Communications, Competitive Intelligence, or Market Research.
Advanced degree preferred in Pharma, Management, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Analytics, or related disciplines, including PhD, MBA, or Master's qualifications.
Excellent written and spoken English required.
Full-time permanent position in Hyderabad with travel as required by business needs.
