Warehouse Associate – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Logistics
By Admin · Manufacturing, Production & Supply Chain
ROLE OVERVIEW
Pfizer's Vizag manufacturing site is one of the company's key production hubs feeding both Indian and global markets, and its warehouse function is the circulatory system of that operation. As an Assistant Associate – Warehouse, you will be the frontline custodian of raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished pharmaceuticals as they move between storage, production lines and dispatch bays. The role sits squarely inside a cGMP-regulated environment, meaning every pallet moved, every bin reconciled and every transaction logged in the computerized inventory system has a direct bearing on batch release timelines, audit outcomes and uninterrupted patient supply. For candidates with a warehousing or plant logistics background, this is a rare opportunity to build a structured pharma supply-chain career inside a global innovator, with exposure to automated high-rise storage, Microsoft Dynamics documentation and regulatory inspections.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Move raw materials, semi-finished goods (SFG) and finished packs between warehouse, high-rise storage, production lines and dispatch bays using forklifts, power trucks, conveyors and hand carts.
- •Operate the computerized inventory management system to record goods receipts, put-away, bin transfers, material issuance and dispatch documentation accurately.
- •Execute all handling activities strictly in line with approved SOPs, cGMP, plant safety rules and Good Documentation Practices.
- •Support high-rise warehouse operations, troubleshooting storage, retrieval and material-flow issues as they arise on shift.
- •Participate in internal, customer and regulatory audits by producing accurate records and explaining material movement trails.
- •Maintain cycle-count accuracy, physical stock verification and reconciliation of SPM and SFG inventory.
- •Coordinate with production, QA, QC and logistics teams across shifts to prevent line stoppages and dispatch delays.
- •Identify and propose process improvements that increase throughput, space utilisation and material-handling safety.
