ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
End-to-End Regional Payroll Operations: Execute and oversee end-to-end monthly payroll processing for employees across India, South Africa, and Southeast Asia (SEA) markets in collaboration with global HR and finance teams.
Data Collation & Reconciliation: Collate, input, validate, and reconcile payroll data, timesheets, expense claims, allowances, and statutory deductions to ensure strict accuracy prior to sign-off and disbursement.
Statutory Compliance & Tax Adherence: Ensure total adherence to regional labor laws, statutory filings, employer taxation requirements, and social security regulations across in-scope countries; track regulatory amendments and update processes accordingly.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary operational liaison for third-party payroll providers (including Paysquare and regional partners), resolving escalations and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Audit Support & Continuous Improvement: Maintain comprehensive payroll documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support internal/external financial audits while driving operational process optimizations.
Technical & Domain Standards
Strong understanding of multi-country payroll legislation, statutory compliances (India, SEA, South Africa), and tax calculation rules.
Working proficiency with enterprise HRIS, payroll, and treasury tools including Workday, Dayforce, Paysquare, and Kyriba.
