ROLE OVERVIEW
Medical Governance Lead accountable for strengthening governance, compliance, SOP adherence, MLR oversight, audit readiness and Managed Access Program governance across Medical Affairs activities in India.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Implement and maintain country-level medical governance frameworks aligned with Novartis good practices and global standards
- •Coordinate governance processes across therapeutic areas and maintain transparency
- •Track governance training assignments, completion and inspection-readiness evidence
- •Conduct periodic monitoring and self-inspections and document follow-up actions
- •Support audit and inspection preparation, findings tracking, remediation and CAPA monitoring
- •Coordinate periodic review and updates of Medical Affairs SOPs and governance documentation
- •Interface with Legal, ERC, PV, Regulatory Affairs and other assurance functions
- •Support governance oversight for Medical Information, MAPs, evidence generation and relevant third-party activities
- •Contribute to governance metrics, dashboards and leadership reporting
- •Use audit, metric and operational insights to drive continuous improvement
Reporting Hierarchy: Operates under the accountability of the Head, Medical Governance, Evidence & Operations; interfaces with Medical Affairs, Legal, ERC, PV, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and other assurance functions

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience in Medical Affairs governance, compliance, quality or related pharmaceutical functions
- Knowledge of medical governance standards, SOPs and local regulations
- Understanding of audit and inspection readiness, deviations, CAPAs and remediation
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional governance activities
- Strong documentation, reporting and stakeholder-management skills
