ROLE OVERVIEW
Leads Commercial Quality and Compliance for Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery in India and neighboring markets. Owns quality management systems, compliance, audits, post-market surveillance, distribution quality and continuous improvement across the commercial organization.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Lead India-wide Commercial Quality and Compliance operations for the Surgery Business Unit
- •Act as Management Representative for JJMTI and support regional commercial quality strategies
- •Establish and maintain local quality management systems, CAPA, risk management and compliance processes
- •Manage audits, qualification and validation activities and quality performance improvement
- •Oversee post-market surveillance, complaint management, adverse event reporting and Service & Repair QMS
- •Ensure quality and compliance oversight at local distribution centers and supplier qualification/auditing
- •Partner with authorities and industry associations on medical-device post-market surveillance requirements
- •Develop and coach the quality team, manage organizational capability and budget, and support new product launches
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to regional/local Commercial Quality leadership; Leads the Surgery Commercial Quality & Compliance organization and partners with cross-functional business, regulatory, supply chain and distribution teams

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation or Postgraduation in Engineering or Pharma
- 10+ years of relevant post-qualification experience
- At least 3 years of people management experience including developing, mentoring and coaching
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and/or Medical Technology industries
- Experience with quality management and regulatory compliance in a commercial healthcare environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •ISO 13485 Lead Auditor certification
- •Experience with medical-device commercial quality systems
- •Experience across regional or multi-country quality operations
