ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & People Management
Oversee day-to-day operations, resource capacity planning, and workload allocations for a team of Clinical Data Management (CDM) programmers.
Lead end-to-end people management activities including talent acquisition, interviewing, performance evaluations, goal setting, coaching, mentoring, and professional career development.
Review and approve operational records such as timesheets, leave requests, overtime authorizations, and project expense reports.
Technical Programming & Database Design
Provide technical leadership and hands-on oversight in designing, building, and testing clinical trial project databases and complex edit check routines.
Lead data integration, external data definitions, and electronic data import workflows into clinical systems.
Oversee the specification, programming, validation, and generation of custom data review listings, discrepancy reports, and operational study metrics using SAS, SQL, and JReview.
Partner with IT and systems teams to design, validate, and implement standardized reporting tools, programming macros, and automation scripts.
Project Governance & Business Development
Serve as the primary technical programming contact for sponsor meetings, client interactions, and cross-functional project alignments.
Monitor project deliverable timelines, budget utilization, and scope changes, supporting bidding and RFP business development activities as needed.
Drive continuous process improvements, author and refine departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure strict adherence to GCP guidelines.
