ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and advanced joins for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Implement, validate, and monitor business logic and data quality rules within Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks data pipelines.
Conduct detailed root cause analysis and execute corrective technical workflows to troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline defects in production environments.
Ensure timely data delivery, pipeline observability, and adherence to established SLAs across operational and analytical data workflows.
Collaborate closely with technical engineers and cross-functional business stakeholders to present analytical findings and gather operational data requirements.
Maintain rigorous technical documentation to ensure operational continuity, clarity, and data governance across the engineering team.
Support data integration touchpoints with third-party enterprise platforms, including Veeva CRM and Salesforce.
Work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline automation and manage Dev-to-Ops release management handovers.
Provide operational support during shift hours aligned with EST time zone business requirements.
Technical & Architecture Standards
Design and maintain robust data pipelines across Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2) using Python and PySpark.
Implement Databricks Lakehouse Architecture and leverage Unity Catalog for secure data governance, cataloging, and schema management.
