DevOps Engineer – III

Implement, configure and tune Microsoft Azure Cloud services including Microservices, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Function Apps, IoT Hub, API Management (APIM), Key Vault, F5 Load Balancers and Azure ExpressRoute.

Manage build and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket and JFrog Artifactory.

Manage and orchestrate Java-based containerised applications using Kubernetes, with AKS preferred.

Perform Java application performance tuning, including heap-dump analysis, memory-leak identification, thread-dump analysis and JVM optimisation.

Conduct end-to-end monitoring of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, microservices, middleware platforms and business-critical applications.

Create and manage New Relic dashboards for application-performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring and observability.

Build, optimise and maintain Docker images and container workflows.

Support Java and middleware application operations and administration, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and deployment in enterprise environments involving JBoss, IBM MQ and ActiveMQ.

Use scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell or another scripting language for automation and operational support.

Support development and production environments, including on-call support and health monitoring.

Apply knowledge of architecture, high-availability configurations, load balancing, fault tolerance, resiliency and disaster recovery.

Maintain a strong understanding of operating systems and networking.

Follow a systematic problem-solving approach with strong ownership and effective communication.

Collaborate with customers, vendors, partners and internal technical teams at senior technical levels.

Contribute to continual knowledge transfer, training and mentoring of junior staff.

Hands-on New Relic experience for application performance, infrastructure monitoring and observability is listed as desirable as well as within the core responsibilities.

Experience implementing and managing DevSecOps practices, including SAST, DAST and SBOM solutions.

Knowledge of patching, security remediation, security hardening, threat modelling and penetration testing.
