ROLE OVERVIEW
Lead the Cardiovascular and Metabolic (CVM) business unit in India to drive commercial growth, portfolio strategy, and patient-centric access solutions.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Define and articulate vision and strategy for CVM Business Unit
- •Own and deliver Business Unit P&L for sustainable and profitable growth
- •Lead development and execution of brand strategies across CVM portfolio
- •Drive sales force deployment aligned to strategic priorities
- •Partner with Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, and other functions
- •Build and lead a high-performing Business Unit team
- •Ensure adherence to AstraZeneca’s Code of Ethics and compliance standards
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to Regional/Global Leadership • Matrix leadership of large Business Unit team in India

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree in Pharma, Science, or Medicine
- 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing
- Strong leadership experience with P&L accountability
- Proven track record in driving commercial performance
- Deep understanding of India pharmaceutical market
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •MBA or advanced degree
- •Experience in CVM or related therapy areas
- •Experience managing product lifecycle including launch and growth phases
- •Strong cross-functional leadership experience
