ROLE OVERVIEW
Amgen's Scientist, Biomarker Analysis role in Hyderabad is a strategic addition to the Global Development - Precision Medicine organization, specifically within Computational Biology and Translational Analytics. As Amgen expands its India innovation footprint, this position will deliver high-quality clinical biomarker analytics across oncology, inflammation, rare disease, cardiovascular/metabolic, and obesity programs. The scientist will transform complex multi-omics, imaging, and clinical trial data into actionable translational insights that inform target engagement, patient stratification, mechanism validation, and benefit-risk decisions. This is a compelling opportunity for a quantitative biologist to work at the interface of drug development, advanced statistics, and responsible AI, influencing global portfolio decisions while helping build a high-impact precision medicine capability at Amgen India. The role offers deep scientific ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to late-stage clinical programs.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Design and execute biomarker and translational analyses supporting target engagement, pharmacodynamic modeling, patient stratification, mechanism validation, and benefit-risk assessment.
- •Develop analytical workflows for multi-modal clinical data: bulk/single-cell genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics, spatial omics, and imaging.
- •Translate biological questions into quantitative analysis plans, statistical models, and computational frameworks that generate actionable program insights.
- •Integrate internal trial data with external omics, real-world data, and literature knowledge to contextualize findings and inform strategy.
- •Contribute to portfolio-level analyses and cross-asset learnings through data mining, visualization, and knowledge discovery.
- •Partner with biologists, clinicians, assay scientists, and data engineers to ensure analytical rigor and data quality.
- •Communicate analytical approaches, assumptions, limitations, and conclusions to global matrixed stakeholders via reports and presentations.
- •Leverage AI responsibly to enhance speed, accuracy, and insightfulness, integrating relevant public-domain findings.
