ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Scientific AI Strategy & Protein Design Leadership
Serve as the senior scientific and technical lead establishing the AI roadmap for protein engineering, de novo protein design, 3D structure prediction, motif discovery, and sequence-function optimization.
Identify high-value biotherapeutic discovery challenges and translate them into scalable, automated agentic AI workflows and scientific computing solutions.
Provide scientific oversight ensuring all AI/ML-generated biological designs and predictions align with structural biology principles and biotherapeutic research objectives.
Agentic Workflow Architecture & Tool Integration
Architect AI-assisted and multi-agent workflows integrating Protein Language Models (pLMs), structure prediction tools (e.g., AlphaFold/ESMFold/RoseTTAFold), molecular dynamics, and generative protein design frameworks.
Define agent decision trees, tool-calling interfaces, multi-agent coordination protocols, and human-in-the-loop oversight mechanisms for complex biological discovery pipelines.
Evaluate emerging scientific foundation models, molecular generative architectures, and computational biology platforms for enterprise integration.
Cross-Functional Delivery & Research Collaboration
Partner closely with research scientists, structural biologists, ML engineers, and data platform squads to drive adoption of AI tools across discovery programs.
Measure and optimize agentic tool performance, accelerating turnaround times for therapeutic candidate screening and molecular optimization.
